The Vancouver Public Library Pencil and Watercolour The Vancouver Public Library is a delightful piece of architecture. Ming took two rolls of film of this library, covering as many angles as possible. Then hoping to achieve the kind of stone lithographic painting effects like those made by David Roberts (a 19th century artist), Ming used pencil and watercolor to do this interior section of the library. Pencil with watercolor is a favourite medium combination for the architectural artists. The lightness and transparent quality of the media enhance buildings with a touch of gracefulness.
